Awdal Hospital is a community-based, multiservice medical facility located in eastern Borama, the capital of Awdal Province, Somaliland. Serving an estimated population of over 67,000 residents, the hospital was established in October 2017 by six specialized healthcare providers with a shared vision: to deliver evidence-based, high-quality medical care to a region in critical need of reliable healthcare services.
At the time of its founding, the community lacked access to evidence-based medicine—essential for safe practices, better patient outcomes, and cost-effective care. Nearby villages faced limited healthcare coverage, which further emphasized the necessity of a well-equipped medical center.
